The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global, non-profit organisation with voluntary members working to transform the palm oil industry to make it sustainable. We are focused on bringing together stakeholders from across the palm oil supply chain to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil.

The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for all types of RSPO Salesforce development, handling change requests, enhancements and customizations. This includes coding, unit testing, building applications, as well as creating and modifying existing applications. This position reports to a Salesforce Manager and collaborates with other members of the Business Solution unit

The location of this role is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Build custom applications in Salesforce using Apex and Visualforce and leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform to support the RSPO’s requirements.
  • Create or modify existing controllers, controller extensions, and triggers in custom objects.
  • Develop highly interactive UI using Visualforce, JavaScript and JQuery technologies.
  • Create and execute unit, integration and user acceptance test plans, which include use cases and test data,
  • Customise and manage dashboards, reports, templates, page layouts, workflows, while maintaining custom object relationships, formulas, standard and custom fields.
  • Liaise with relevant vendors to manage and resolve any issues relating to the system integration between RSPO Salesforce and external systems.
  • Gather, analyse and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues reported by end users.
  • Stay current on new releases and updates to Salesforce.com and other latest industry trends and changing technologies.
  • Apart from the duties stated above, to perform any duty or duties reasonably assigned.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or other relevant degree or qualification

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Salesforce development projects involving Apex and Visualforce pages to extend existing features and writing Apex test classes to deploy new triggers and/or classes to production
  • 1 to 3 years of experience and strong knowledge in system integration and use of APIs, JSON, REST/SOAP web services
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in writing HTML, Javascript, CSS will be an added advantage

Technical and Professional Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC and have successfully expanded on those capabilities through the use of custom code (Apex, Visualforce pages) and/or integration with external systems
  • Experience in designing custom formula fields, field dependencies, validation rules, workflows, and field updates, and email generation according to application requirements
  • Have a good understanding of the Salesforce Experience Cloud to manage the platform for collaboration
  • Object Oriented Development Skills (Javascript/Java/.NET/C#)
  • Relational databases, including SQL queries, database design, relationships, and design practices
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, detail oriented and strong analytical skills

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint and advanced usage of MS Excel
