The RSPO organised two seminars in Oslo, Norway and Stockholm, Sweden on 4 and 5 September respectively to raise awareness about certified sustainable palm oil in the Scandinavian markets. The seminars were also meant to provide an opportunity to exchange views between industry players active in the palm oil supply chain.
Jan Kees Vis, President of the RSPO Executive Board and Global Director Sustainable Sourcing Development at Unilever delivered a keynote speech at both occasions about the RSPO and the advantages of sourcing certified sustainable palm oil. Both seminars were a big success with 40 and 45 participants attending the Oslo and Stockholm seminars respectively. The seminars included presentations by RSPO members WWF, Mondelez International and Oriflame Cosmetics.
