The Secretariat is pleased to announce the endorsement of the revised RSPO Management System Requirement for Group Certification of FFB Production 2022 (referred to as “Group Certification 2022”) by the Board of Governors on 18 May 2022.
This document will replace the previous version of the RSPO Management System Requirements and Guidance for Group Certification of FFB Production 2018; it is effective as of 18 November 2022.
RSPO Management System Requirement for Group Certification of FFB Production 2022
The Group Certification 2022 is the result of an extensive discussion and review, incorporating new developments resulting from the Medium Grower Task Force (MGTF) and the ISH Standard 2019. The document was tabled for a 60-day public consultation process in September to November 2021. A total of sixty-five (65) comments were received, which was incorporated.
This Group Certification 2022 provides better clarity and guidance on its applicability to growers to certify their Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) through group certification against the RSPO P&C under a single certificate, managed by the Group Manager.
Key Updates in the Group Certification 2022
-
Clarified its applicability to smallholders (Independent and/or Scheme) and medium growers.
-
Clarified the scope of Unit of Certification to include areas set aside for HCV, HCS and livelihoods.
-
Provide guidance under Annex on certification options.
The Group Certification 2022 is available in six languages (English, Bahasa Indonesia, French, Spanish, Thai, and Malay). To download, please click the LINK HERE.
