The RSPO Secretariat is pleased to announce the launch of the new Shared Responsibility  Scorecard. This will publicly display RSPO Members’ overall Shared Responsibility (SR) performance based on their reported commitments. The average SR performance score of members is an indication where they are in their sustainability journey as defined by the SR framework.

The Shared Responsibility framework and its requirements are applicable to:

  • Processors and Traders (P&T)
  • Consumer Goods Manufacturers (CGM)
  • Retailers
  • Banks and Financial Institutions
  • Environmental NGOs
  • Social NGOs

In total, there are 29 SR requirements reflecting the unique roles of each sector, covering different thematic areas:

  • Transparency and Legality
  • Social
  • Environmental
  • Resourcing
  • Uptake

All RSPO Members to whom the SR requirements apply are scored on the five thematic areas based on their self-reported public commitments to implement the SR requirements on their MyRSPO profile and Annual Communication of Progress (ACOP) reports.

In addition to the Scorecard, all members’ performances are shown in the Shared Responsibility dashboards. In the CSPO Uptake Target performance dashboard, the overall trend of supply chain actors meeting their annual Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO) percentage point uptake target can be found. The SR Scores dashboards show the overall average SR score for all sectors. By using the filter on the top right of this dashboard, you can shift between the different thematic area scores.

The published scores in the SR Scorecard and Dashboards are as of March 2023. Members’ reported commitments to implement the SR requirements (ACOP report and MyRSPO profile) are annually monitored on 1 July, after which the updated SR performance will be published on the SR Scorecard in September of the same year.  Members are reminded to report your commitments on your MyRSPO membership profile using this step-by-step guide in order to improve your SR performance scores in the Scorecard.
