The RSPO National Interpretation (NI) draft of the 2024 RSPO Independent Smallholder (ISH) Standard for Indonesia has been developed through a participatory, multi-stakeholder process, involving representatives from relevant RSPO membership sectors and consultations with other related stakeholders in Indonesia. The formation of the National Interpretation Task Force (NITF) for Indonesia ensures that all required procedures, communications and actions have been properly documented and recorded. This process aims to ensure that the NI accurately reflects the nature of the oil palm industry in Indonesia, particularly national legislation and local customs, while maintaining and strengthening the integrity of RSPO Certification requirements.
We are now calling for comments on the Indonesia NI 2025 draft through a public consultation period of 60 days, from 8 August to 7 October 2025. The draft is available in English and Bahasa Indonesia, and can be downloaded below.
You are invited to submit your feedback and comments on the draft with the comment template below. All comments must be submitted to the Indonesia NITF Secretariat at [email protected] by close of business on 7 October 2025.
