The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global, non-profit organisation with voluntary members working to transform the palm oil industry to make it sustainable. We are focused on bringing together stakeholders from across the palm oil supply chain to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil.

This position is responsible for driving and overseeing the organisation’s enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, technology expertise, and project management skills to lead successful digital transformation efforts and enable the organisation to leverage digital technologies for improved efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage. 

The location of this role is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is a fixed term of 2 years contract.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

Digital Transformation Strategy:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the organization’s digital transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Identify digital opportunities and trends within the industry and translate them into actionable strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and technology assessments to inform strategic decision-making.

Project and Program Management:

  • Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and management of digital transformation projects and programs.
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and escalate as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

Digital Technology Evaluation and Adoption:

  • Stay updated on emerging digital technologies and trends relevant to the organization’s industry and business needs.
  • Evaluate and assess digital solutions, tools, and platforms to support the organization’s digital transformation goals.
  • Make recommendations on technology investments, partnerships, and strategic alliances to drive digital innovation and transformation.

Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Develop and implement change management strategies to drive organizational adoption and acceptance of digital transformation initiatives.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to communicate the vision, benefits, and impacts of digital transformation.
  • Foster a culture of digital readiness and innovation by providing training, resources, and support to employees.

Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the progress and effectiveness of digital transformation initiatives.
  • Establish monitoring mechanisms and reporting frameworks to track and communicate the impact of digital transformation on key business outcomes.
  • Conduct periodic assessments and evaluations of digital transformation initiatives to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Collaboration and Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, business units, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and technology providers to leverage expertise and drive innovation.

Apart from the duties stated above, to perform any duty or duties reasonably assigned.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Education

  • Degree qualified, preferably with a Masters/MBA and with appropriate professional qualifications (PMI-PMP, PMI-PgMP)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 12 years working experience in leading and managing enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives.
  • Big 4 consulting experience preferred in PMO or advisory.

Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align digital initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Project management expertise, including experience in planning, execution, and monitoring of complex projects.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies, emerging trends, and best practices in digital transformation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Change management experience, including developing change strategies, driving adoption, and managing resistance.
  • Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve digital transformation goals.
