The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global, non-profit organisation with voluntary members working to transform the palm oil industry to make it sustainable. The Executive, CRM & Communications will be part of a global Integrated Communications team, tasked with steering all RSPO’s CRM requirements, with a particular focus on managing direct email communications with key stakeholders, including but not limited to newsletters, promotional campaigns, surveys, and events.
The role comes with a development opportunity to evolve RSPO’s current CRM tools and platforms in line with organisational needs.
The location of this role is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but will not be limited to the following:
- Design and implement direct email communication campaigns.
- Create email databases and manage different audiences on Mailchimp, or any other third-party email marketing software.
- Analyse and report email performance, especially for E-gazette, RSPO’s internal newsletter.
- Provide suggestions to improve email performance metrics including increase open rates or decrease unsubscribes.
- Manage the requests of internal stakeholders and their email communication needs.
- Review all incoming direct email and CRM requests from other RSPO divisions to identify potential integrated communications opportunities where relevant.
- Act as the first level proofreader to ensure all CRM content has been reviewed and approved prior to being scheduled for distribution.
- Work with the line manager to refine and implement the CRM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support other Managers and above in all other communications tasks as reasonably assigned.
- Apart from the duties stated above, to perform any duty or duties reasonably assigned.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications or equivalent
Experience
- 2+ years’ experience work experience in email communications or email marketing will be a requirement for this role.
- Experience in content creation and design for digital platforms
- Experience or background in Event Management will be an added advantage
Technical and Professional Knowledge
- Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, Mailchimp (or other CRM software), Zoom
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Native/Fluent (written and oral) in English with good communication skills. Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Indonesia will be an added bonus.
- Sound understanding of social media metrics and analysis.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Highly organised and a proactive problem solver
- Be able to resolve issues in a timely manner.
