On behalf of RSPO Members in Ghana, RSPO extends this expression of interest to seek members and stakeholders who are keen to be part of the Ghana National Interpretation Task Force for the 2024 RSPO Principles and Criteria. The National Interpretation (NI) process, as specified in the “RSPO Standard Operating Procedure for Standard Setting and Review (2020)”, allows the general RSPO Standards to be contextualised at a national level upon request by RSPO Member(s).
Composition of the Ghana National Interpretation Task Force
As guidance, the Ghana NI TF should comprise 12 substantive representatives, or in a similar ratio by RSPO Membership category, as shown in the table below:
No. | Member Representatives by Sector/Constituency Category | Number |
1 | Palm Oil Growers (including Smallholders representation) | 4 |
2 | Consumer Goods Manufacturers and Supply Chain Representatives (Including Processors and Traders) | 4 |
3 | Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO)s | 4 |
A substantive representative may also decide to nominate a deputy (“Alternate”) who will participate only when the substantive member is absent from NI Task Force meetings.
The NI TF may consider inviting a number of technical experts to provide technical support for the group discussions. Relevant government representatives may also be invited, as well as other observers from relevant stakeholder organisations. Technical experts, government representatives, and all other observers have no decision-making power or vote in the process.
The deadline for submitting expression of interest is by close of business (COB) on Monday, 29 September 2025 (UTC +8).
If you wish to be part of the Ghana National Interpretation Task Force, please send the following details to all the following RSPO focal point(s) for the Ghana NI TF:
