New Britain Palm Oil Ltd has proposed a new development plan for its concession that covers an area of 1,843.75 ha located inside its operational area in Higaturu Oil Palm Ltd management unit. The plantation properties are located in Sime Darby Plantation – NBPOL Higaturu Oil Palm, Popondetta, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea.
The NPP verification for Higaturu Oil Palm Ltd was conducted through document verification and on-site visit. Global Gateway Certifications auditors conducted the NPP verification from 8 to 11 May 2023.
The summary report of this area has undergone a 30-day public comments period as required by the RSPO New Planting Procedure 2021 from 12 August 2024 until 10 September 2024.
