On the 12th General Assembly in 2015, RSPO adopted resolution 6F to develop a comprehensive Smallholder Strategy. The adoption by the membership means that RSPO should determine the role of the mills, market, local authorities and RSPO to support the development needs of smallholders and incentivise them in an inclusive manner to contribute to environmental, and social solutions and transformation within the palm oil sector.
In the course of developing the strategy, RSPO will gather inputs from its key stakeholders in all RSPO key regions i.e. Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America.
A two-full day RSPO Smallholder Strategy and Action Plan Workshop will be conducted in 3 countries as follow:

The purpose of the workshop is:
- To provide opportunity to gather inputs from various stakeholders on the strategic direction based on regional / local context and customise a comprehensive strategy to accommodate the challenges faced by smallholders ; and
- To develop a 5-year Action Plan Framework from the comprehensive strategy.
Who should attend: Smallholder organisations, Oil Palm Companies, Government, Environmental & Social NGO, Manufacturers, Processors, Retailers and Banks.
