The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Compensation Task Force (CTF) was established in August 2011 to support the organisation in developing a guidance document on High Conservation Value (HCV) compensation. The Task Force was set up under the Biodiversity and High Conservation Value Working Group (BHCVWG) and all BHCV members are part of the CTF, with additional experts. The Task Force meets four times a year with extra meetings if needed.

The 16th CTF meeting has been scheduled for August 4-5, 2015, in Kuala Lumpur. The CTF is currently in the process of revising the RSPO Remediation and Compensation Procedures based on lessons learnt and data compiled from the one-year staged implementation period (May 9, 2014 to May 8, 2015).

Subsequently, a one-day BHCVWG meeting is scheduled for August 6, 2015, in Kuala Lumpur. The agenda of the 29th BHCVWG meeting is to review the current workplan for the new financial year, New Planting Procedures (NPP), as well as the HCV toolkit for smallholders (the Unified Approach).

The minutes of the meeting will be made available on the RSPO website upon endorsement by the BHCVWG and CTF members at the next meeting.
