SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY STORY
P&G has made a bold commitment to improving the livelihoods of palm smallholders through its Ambition 2030 Initiative. The P&G Smallholder Program focuses on ethical and responsible sourcing of oil palm from independent smallholder farmers and growers, empowering them through certification and compliance, increasing their overall yield through training and implementation of best-in-class and sustainable agricultural practices.
P&G Smallholder Program Goals: Beginning with the initial focus on palm kernel oil supply chain in Malaysia, which is the single largest supply chain and has a high density of small farmers, implement local programs to build capability in good agricultural practices with the objective of helping small farmers increase their yield
To deliver on its Ambition 2030 goals P&G funded to establish the P&G Center for Sustainable Small-owners (CSS) at ASB with the aim of improving the livelihoods and diffusing good and sustainable agricultural practices. The CSS currently working closely with Pertubuhan Tani Niaga Lestari Negeri Johor (PERTANIAGA) in RISS Certification as well as in Livelihood Program.
Developing CSS is a key strategy of P&G to deliver on its Forest Positive Policy and Ambition 2030 to help improve the livelihoods of palm smallholders.

How you can support
The group members are in the efforts to earn living through the palm oil while keep preserving environment like peat management and addressing the social issue against RSPO certification system. This effort should be appreciated by the downstream players such as Consumers Good Manufactures or retailers.
