The Secretariat is pleased to provide key updates and process announcements relating to the Standards Review 2023 process:

Revised Standards Review timeline
Due to unforeseen delays in initiating the process, the timeline for the review of the RSPO Standards has been revised, providing a reasonable time estimate for each of the important milestones ensuring that the interests of members and stakeholders are properly represented in the process.

Meet the Steering Group and Task Force members
The Steering Group (SG) met virtually for the first time on 14 June 2022 marking the initiation of the review process. Beyond reviewing the timeline, the SG approved the member composition of the Task Force (TF) and acknowledged the focus and approach applied for this review process. The first TF virtual meeting is scheduled on 7 and 8 July 2022.

Observe Task Force and/or Technical Committee meetings

In line with RSPO’s principle of transparency, members and stakeholders are welcome to observe any specific TF and/or Technical Committee (TC) meeting. While it is critical for RSPO to make important information and processes publicly available and easily accessible, the organisation is also committed to protecting confidential and private information.

Any member and/or stakeholder can register your interest here.

Key notes for any interested member/stakeholder:

  • Alongside your registration, observers should complete, sign and upload a copy of the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct can also be downloaded from the registration form.

  • Each registration is for ONE meeting ONLY. If you wish to attend two meetings (e.g., one TF meeting and one TC meeting), please register two times indicating the specific meeting and date you would like to observe.

  • We kindly ask that observers register their interest in observing any particular TF/TC meeting at least two weeks in advance. TF/TC meeting dates will be made available on the RSPO Standards Review website.

Should you have any challenges registering, please email Kelvin Diong at [email protected].
