The RSPO's Guidelines on Communications and Claims contain pre-approved claims and rules for use in the market place. The guidelines ensure that consumers receive accurate information on efforts by product manufacturers and retail companies to support the production of sustainable palm oil.
Occasionally, the RSPO's Claims Approval Committee receives requests from individual companies that prefer to use other wordings. The RSPO has now published a list of alternative wordings that have been approved by the Committee. The list, which also contains various translations, can be accessed through the RSPO's online Market Center.
The RSPO strives towards standardization of market claims in the interest of consumers. Companies may however submit proposals to the Claims Approval Committee if they strongly prefer alternative but equivalent wordings.
