Danielle Morley, RSPO European Director for Outreach & Engagement, recently participated in the Palm Oil Sustainability Workshop that was organised by the Natural Resources Stewardship Circle (NRSC) in Paris, France on 29 November.

The workshop was the third in a series of events that are aimed to present and discuss the opportunities and challenges around sustainable palm oil, and offer guidance to companies who are in the process of or wish to move towards sustainable palm oil.

Danielle’s presentation focused on the work of the RSPO in responding to criticism and credibility questions, especially in light of the forest fires crisis which took place in South East Asia during the summer, and how the newly revised RSPO P&C addresses and responds to the need for more stringent social and environmental criteria.

The NRSC is a non-profit organization made up of representatives of beauty, fragrance, and flavor industries which aim to use and promote best practices of sustainable sourcing of ingredients across the beauty industry.
