The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) would like to inform its members that the endorsement of GreenPalm as the service provider of the trade in Book and Claim certificates stops as of 1 January 2017. From this date, RSPO certified volumes can be sold via the Book and Claim model on the RSPO eTrace platform.

RSPO certified volumes sold through the Book and Claim eTrace model from 1st January 2017 will be branded as RSPO Credits and the RSPO Rules on Market Communications and Claims are currently being revised to accommodate this change.

As part of the revision of RSPO Rules on Market Communications and Claims, a survey will be conducted in August 2016 to gather stakeholders’ feedback on this additional module within the document.

The attached document gives an overview about the current rules followed by GreenPalm and the new rules that will be applicable from January 2017.  More information about these changes and the schedule of trainings will be published in the e-Gazette and on the welcome page of RSPO eTrace going forward.

The RSPO remains confident that this change will make the sale of RSPO certified volumes across the four supply chain models easier, more user-friendly and more cost effective for our members as it will be facilitated through one IT platform.

We look forward to your support and cooperation towards a successful implementation of the new RSPO credit trading platform.
