PT Putra Bongan Jaya, a subsidiary of Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) Berhad, has proposed a new development plan for its concession that covers an area of 1,472.50 ha for expansion of its nucleus areas and scheme smallholder projects – Koperasi Produsen Ingkang Muntis Jaya & Koperasi Sawit Gusik Mandiri Sejahtera. The plantation properties are located in Muara Gusiq Village, Bongan Sub District, Kutai Barat District, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia.
The NPP verification for PT Putra Bongan Jaya (Koperasi Produsen Ingkang Muntis Jaya & Koperasi Sawit Gusik Mandiri Sejahtera) was conducted through document verification and on-site visit. Global Gateway Certifications auditors conducted the document review from 13 to 15 August 2024 and on-site verification from 14 to 15 August 2024.
The summary report of this area is now undergoing a 30-day public comments period as required by the RSPO New Planting Procedure 2021 from 28 May 2025 until 26 June 2025.
