Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) Berhad has proposed a new development plan for its concession that covers an area of 87.76 ha located inside its operational area in Koperasi Tunjung Untung (under its subsidiary PT Karya Makmur Abadi). The plantation properties are located in Tumbang Sapiri Village, Mentaya Hulu Sub District, Kotawaringin Timur, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.

The NPP verification for PT Karya Makmur Abadi (Koperasi Tunjung Untung) was conducted through document verification and on-site visit. Global Gateway Certifications (GGC) auditors conducted the document review on 19 to 21 June 2024 and on-site verification from 19 to 20 June 2024.

The summary report of this area has undergone a 30-day public comments period as required by the RSPO New Planting Procedure 2021 from 16 September 2024 until 15 October 2024.
