CMT is proud to announce the launch of 2nd Palm Oil Africa, on 17-19th October 2013, in Libreville Gabon held under the patronage of His Excellency Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of Gabon. The President will officiate this October event, while His< Excellency Julien Nkoghe Bekale, Minister of Agriculture, Gabon will deliver a Keynote Ministerial Address sharing his views on Revitalising Gabon's Agro-Industry and Cash Crops Development with Emphasis on Palm Oil.

An update on OLAM’s Palm oil & Rubber Plantations Investment in Gabon. With more than 20 million hectares of arable land that is not cultivated, palm oil industry has a huge potential in Gabon. Can Gabon be the next palm oil investment hub? What agriculture policies and framework are in place to encourage this? Is the program to promote new investment with the objective of diversifying the economy and allowing palm oil to account for a larger proportion of GDP viable? Obtain the answers to these and more as 2nd Palm Oil Africa explores the prospects and challenges associated with the palm oil industry in Africa, particularly Gabon. Attend the event and hear first-hand from officials about the policy changes, programs and more.

Newly added to the agenda, this year, is a 2 hour exclusive tour of  Olam's Awala Plantations to witness land development preparation activities and visit a nursery. The site visit is optional and open for reservations to delegates only.
