Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
    Amorepacific supports the principles of the Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and RSPO efforts to encourage and certify sustainable palm oil production practices. To reinforce those principles, Amorepacific will communicate with our suppliers about our RSPO membership status and notice our employees about RSPO by Sustainability Report. We will include RSPO news and events in our internal and external newsletters.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
    We seek sustainable values through open communication with stakeholders and reflect them in our decision-making process so that the company?s core business direction heads in the same direction. To achieve this, AMOREPACIFIC established its own process for stakeholder participation, to analyze and prioritize the interests of stakeholders concerning sustainability management activities through communication channels like stakeholder dialogue. In order to preserve biodiversity & sustainability(use sustainably produced palm oil), we have decided to pursue participation in the RSPO in agreement with the RSPO Principles and Criteria.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
    We will make sure that our suppliers are a member of RSPO before we decide to enter into business relationship(In case of purchasing 100% Palm Oil origin material).
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
    In order to provide environment friendly management, AMOREPACIFIC established an environmental management system of global standards and implemented various activities, includingJoining RSPO. In particular, we launched an environment-friendly integrated SCM station (AP Beauty Production Plant) in Osan, Gyeonggido in 2011. Also, we strived to build a sustainable environment internally and externally at the company through green communication.
