As of 1 January 2022, the fee for physical transactions and RSPO Credits in RSPO PalmTrace will be reduced. RSPO and Rainforest Alliance, the service provider of RSPO PalmTrace, review the transaction fees annually, and in 2021, the volume exceeded the volume threshold which warrants a fee reduction. Volume-based fees are levied over Shipping Announcements for Mass Balance, Segregated and Identity Preserved supply chain models. This fee is invoiced to the first buyer from the RSPO certified oil mill, upon confirming a Shipping Announcement. There is also a fee levied over RSPO Credits, invoiced to the buyer of the credits.
