The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), European Palm Oil Alliance (EPOA) and IDH have teamed up to jointly present a webinar to launch the report Sustainable Palm Oil: Europe’s Business – Fact, analysis and actions to leverage impact. 

The report developed by consultancy firm, NewForesight presents an in-depth analysis of the current trends and developments of the European palm oil market and the palm oil supply chain. This year’s report also underlines actions stakeholders can undertake to make sustainable palm oil the norm. 

While considered a “mature market” for the sustainable sourcing of palm oil, Europe still faces unique challenges with specific oil palm products and their supply chains that end up in sectors other than food, such as oleochemicals and feed. The webinar will cover  developments of the European sustainable palm oil ecosystem; relevant tools and initiatives that European companies can use to advance their palm oil sustainability journey; No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) advancements; landscape projects and upcoming regulation. 

Happening a month ahead of the Sustainable Palm Oil Dialogue (SPOD), this webinar provides a brief introduction of topics that will be further explored at the SPOD.
