In order to better serve an ever internationally growing member base, we are happy to announce that the RSPO will be organising two RSPO events in September to enable RSPO members and other interested parties to obtain the latest information and updates on RSPO certification, as well as to meet and interact with RSPO staff. 

 

Presentations and discussions during the event will cover the following topics:

  • Introduction to RSPO and the RSPO certification standards

  • New Planting Procedure

  • Revised Smallholder certification documents

  • Revised Supply Chain certification documents

  • PalmGHG calculator and carbon stock assessments 

  • RSPO’s Dispute Settlement Facility

  • RSPO Smallholder Support Fund

  • RSPO Remediation and Compensation Procedures (Africa only)

 

RSPO Open Day, Accra, Ghana (postponed)

The Africa Sustainable Palm Oil Conference, which was scheduled for the 3-4 September 2014 in Accra Ghana, has been postponed until early 2015. The RSPO open day which was planned to take place in conjunction with this conference on the 2nd of September has also been postponed.

 

RSPO, Solidaridad and Proforest have jointly decided to move these events to the beginning of 2015, because of new developments in region. The new dates for the conference and RSPO open day will be communicated as soon as possible.

 

RSPO Open Day, Guatemala – 10th September 2014

RSPO will be organising the Open Day on 10th September in conjunction with the 5th Latin American RSPO Conference – "Sustainable Palm Oil is Our Commitment" (9th September). There is no registration fee for the RSPO event.
