RSPO is committed to promoting the production and use of sustainable palm oil through credible global standards and engagement of stakeholders. In line with this commitment, we are seeking participants who are qualified as Palm Oil Sustainability Certification Standard Auditors and/or Trainers, experienced in auditing processes and practices, to become RSPO Independent Smallholder Lead Auditor Endorsed Trainers.

This course aims to equip interested participants with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to effectively train lead auditors who will be responsible for assessing the compliance of independent smallholder palm oil producers with the RSPO Standards.  As a trainer, you will play a crucial role in building capacity within the industry and ensuring the integrity of RSPO Certification processes.

We are offering a limited number of seats for a selected few to attend our upcoming training session.

To attend this session, you must meet the following criteria:

Compulsory Requirements:

  1. Minimum five years of field experience in the palm oil sector, health and safety or environmental management, including HCV and HCS assessment, social auditing, and involvement in human rights activities.
  2. University degree or tertiary education in related disciplines, such as agriculture, environmental or social sciences, etc.

Other Requirements: (added advantage):

  1. Completion of RSPO Principles and Criteria Lead Auditor Certification course that remains valid.
  2. Completion of RSPO Master Trainer course.

RSPO Standards: Knowledge and understanding of the auditing process and practices of the RSPO Palm Oil Sustainability Standards and Certification

Training Experience: Trainer should have prior experience conducting training courses within the palm oil sector and be tech savvy to maneuver the Learning Management System.

Communication skills: Trainer must have effective communication skills to convey complex concepts, facilitate discussions and role-playing activities within the classroom or on the oil palm plantation, and engage with diverse stakeholders. 

Interpersonal skills: Trainer must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with participants, address questions and concerns, and foster a supportive learning environment.

Adherence to ethical standards: Trainer must uphold high ethical standards and demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and impartiality in their interactions with participants and stakeholders. This includes maintaining confidentiality, avoiding conflicts of interest, and adhering to RSPO’s Code of Conduct.

Selection Process:

Applications will be carefully reviewed by the RSPO Secretariat and selected participants will be notified via email within two (2) weeks after the registration deadline.

Important Note:

Attendance at this training session does not guarantee certification as an RSPO Endorsed Trainer for Independent Smallholder Lead Auditor Training.

Further evaluation will be conducted by the RSPO Secretariat.
