The new RSPO Independent Smallholder (ISH) Standard comes into effect immediately. However, there will be a one-year transition period from the date of adoption (6 November 2019) to implement the new standard. The ISH Standard shall serve as a generic document for smallholders who qualify as Independent Smallholders and is applicable for certification of sustainable palm oil production worldwide.
RSPO would like to invite palm growers and organisations that work closely with independent smallholders to participate in the upcoming interactive RSPO Independent Smallholders (RISS) 2019 Roadshow on 23 January 2020 at Novotel Hotel, Pekanbaru, Indonesia. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the RISS 2019 for sustainable palm oil production.
