The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global partnership to make palm oil sustainable. Today, the RSPO is a global, non-profit organisation with over 6,000 voluntary members across 104 countries and territories, representing every link in the supply chain: oil palm producers, palm oil processors and traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks and investors, environmental or nature conservation non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and social or developmental NGOs.

The Manager, Training for RSPO’s prisma system will be responsible for developing, delivering and managing comprehensive training programs on the RSPO prisma’s certification, trade and traceability functionalities. This role ensures that RSPO Members and Certification Bodies can effectively use prisma following RSPO’s business rules and compliance requirements. It requires the training manager to have an in-depth understanding of the RSPO certification, trade and traceability processes.The Manager, Training will lead a team of trainers, oversee training material development, and manage multilingual training delivery, ensuring alignment with RSPO Standards and business rules.

The location of this role is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and it’s a 2 years fixed – term contract.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

Training Development and Delivery

  • Develop and implement training programs on prisma’s certification, trade, and traceability functionalities.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person training for RSPO members and Certification Bodies.
  • Oversee the development and localisation of multilingual training materials (English, Bahasa Indonesia, Spanish, French, Thai, Mandarin/Japanese/Korean).
  • Ensure training content aligns with RSPO’s certification, trading, and traceability rules, working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

 Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team of trainers, ensuring global training consistency and accessibility.
  • Develop and manage a structured global training calendar, including webinars, onboarding, and RSPO event-based training.
  • Establish KPIs and feedback mechanisms to evaluate training effectiveness and improve delivery.
  • Oversee change management when prisma updates impact user workflows.

Stakeholder & Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Work closely with RSPO’s Subject Matter Experts to ensure training content remains aligned with evolving certification, trade, and traceability requirements.
  • Engage interpreters and translators to support multilingual training delivery.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Education

  • Degree qualified

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 5 years in a senior trainer role.

Technical and Professional Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of systems training, change management competencies and business process RSPO certification standards will be an advantage.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyse data to support decision-making.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders at various
  • Familiarity with digital technologies, trends, and best practices is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
