The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global partnership to make palm oil sustainable. Today, the RSPO is a global, non-profit organisation with over 6,000 voluntary members across 104 countries and territories, representing every link in the supply chain: oil palm producers, palm oil processors and traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks and investors, environmental or nature conservation non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and social or developmental NGOs.

This role will be responsible for delivering and assisting the Manager, Training in developing training programs for RSPO’s prisma system, with a strong focus on business rules for certification, trade, and traceability. This role ensures RSPO Members and Certification Bodies understand how to navigate and use prisma effectively. The Assistant Manager, Training will support global training efforts, member onboarding, and localised content development, ensuring prisma is accessible and understood across different regions and languages.

The location of this role is Jakarta, Indonesia and it’s a 2 years fixed – term contract.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

Training Development & Delivery

  • Deliver live training sessions (virtual & in-person) for RSPO members, certification bodies, and traders.
  • Develop, update, and localise training materials (manuals, user guides, webinars, recorded content).
  • Conduct training in English and, or local languages by working with interpreters and translators to ensure smooth multilingual training delivery.
  • Conduct regular webinars across time zones (Asia, EU, LATAM), ensuring global accessibility.

 Operational & Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with RSPO Subject Matter Experts to ensure training content aligns with RSPO certification, trade, and traceability rules.
  • Support RSPO events by facilitating live training sessions.
  • Maintain and update the training materials repository, ensuring version control and multilingual consistency.
  • Track training attendance, participant feedback, and overall effectiveness to continuously improve training methods.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Education

  • Degree qualified

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in training and development, ideally in a certification, trade or digital platform environment.

Technical and Professional Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of systems training, change management competencies and business process RSPO certification standards will be an advantage.
  • Strong content development and digital training experience (webinars, instructional design).
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders at various
  • Familiarity with digital technologies, trends, and best practices is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in delivering training across multiple cultures and time zone.
  • Ability to travel as required.
