An article was published in the Sun on 23 September 2024 titled “RSPO and MSPO working on formalising dual certification”. The article contained a number of inaccuracies which RSPO would like to correct. On the point regarding dual certification with MSPO, a preliminary meeting was held to discuss stronger alignment of our respective certification standards. RSPO looks forward to further discussions to develop more areas for collaboration in our joint ambition for a more sustainable palm oil future.
On the matter regarding FGV’s certification status, RSPO confirms that the organisation remains in good standing as an RSPO Member and that its certification status is active.
We regret the incident and are taking the necessary measures to investigate the matter internally.
