Our Support
P&G has made a bold commitment to improving the livelihoods of palm smallholders through its Ambition 2030 Initiative. The P&G Smallholder Program focuses on ethical and responsible sourcing of oil palm from independent smallholder farmers and growers, empowering them through certification and compliance, increasing their overall yield through training and implementation of best-in-class and sustainable agricultural practices.
P&G Smallholder Program Goals: Beginning with the initial focus on the palm kernel oil supply chain in Malaysia, which is the single largest supply chain and has a high density of small farmers, implement local programmes to build capability in good agricultural practices with the objective of helping small farmers increase their yield.
To deliver on its Ambition 2030 goals P&G funded the P&G Center for Sustainable Small-owners at ASB with the aim of improving the livelihoods and diffusing good and sustainable agricultural practices.
Developing CSS is a key strategy of P&G to deliver on its Forest Positive Policy and Ambition 2030 to help improve the livelihoods of palm smallholders.
