As announced last week during the Biodiversity and Compensation preparatory cluster at the RT12 in Kuala Lumpur, the HCV Assessor Licensing Scheme (ALS) is now open for applications. The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is offering a 50% discount for all HCV assessors previously registered in the RSPO HCV Assessor list that wish to apply to the ALS before December 31st, 2014. Both lead HCV assessors as well as team members/discipline specialists are encouraged to apply for an HCV licence.
The ALS issues licences to competent professionals that wish to carry out HCV assessments as team leaders. Starting 2015, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) will require that all HCV assessments carried out in the context of New Plantings (NPPs) are led by ALS licensed assessors.
If you are eligible to this discount, please contact [email protected] to receive a discount code. All discount codes will be personal and untransferable and can only be used once. All discount codes will expire on the 31st of December, 2014.
For instructions on how to apply for an HCV Assessor Licence, please read the ‘How to Apply’ section on the ALS website here. Before applying, applicants are encouraged to carefully read the Application Guidelines here.
