The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global, non-profit organisation with voluntary members working to transform the palm oil industry to make it sustainable. We are focused on bringing together stakeholders from across the palm oil supply chain to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil.

This position requires to support the CSDTO in facilitating overall business planning & strategy development to support the Group’s business growth and ensuring that the portfolio of businesses of the RSPO enjoys optimum value.
The location of this role is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but will not be limited to the following:
- Escalate pertinent issues and red flags to ensure achievement of strategic and financial targets through monitoring, tracking & reporting performance of divisions.
- Lead to devise and recommend short to medium-term strategic and/or tactical plans to drive financial and operational performance through key insights from analysis on performance reports.
- Ensure deployment and cascade of balanced scorecards / KPIs in line with the Company’s objectives and strategies to measure performance by leading in developing operational parameters / performance indicators.
- Support the management/leadership team to facilitate strategic discussions and problem- solving issues by overseeing the Strategy team in performing the function as the Secretariat, including business transformation planning.
- Oversee strategic cross-functional initiatives within RSPO to create value, focusing on business transformation. Strong project management skills are essential to ensure successful delivery of key transformation initiatives.
- Assist the CSDTO in driving and overseeing the measurement of strategy implementation
- Facilitate the annual business planning process, ensuring alignment between corporate strategy and transformation objectives.
- Work with all core sector heads to create functional BSCs that reflect transformation
- Monitor business performance against plans at frequent
- Lead corporate reporting to relevant stakeholders (internal + external), ensuring transparency in business transformation progress.
- Drive overall results-focused execution, particularly in large-scale transformation
- Ensure proper corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders. Lead the preparation of relevant reports and papers for submission, integrating business transformation aspects.
- Effectively network to maintain excellent relationships with relevant stakeholders, subject matter and industry experts for timely access to business information and insights that support transformation efforts.
- Champion business transformation initiatives across the organization by:
- Identifying opportunities for operational efficiency improvements, organizational restructuring, and process optimization.
- Collaborating with various business units to ensure smooth implementation and alignment of transformation projects.
- Tracking and measuring the impact of transformation initiatives on business
- Lead complex project management efforts for strategic initiatives, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Ensure effective coordination across departments to implement transformation
- Manage risks and dependencies associated with transformation projects, adapting plans as needed to ensure success.
- Drive an innovation and change management culture by promoting the adoption of new business models, processes, and practices that support RSPO’s long-term strategic goals.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with major in Accounting & Finance or professional degree in finance/accounts, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or equivalent / Business Studies / Economics or any other relevant discipline. MBA will be an added advantage
Experience
- More than 6-10 years of experience in corporate strategy & planning or corporate finance. Project management skills required. Possess strong analytical and numerical skills, financial acumen and commercial awareness, creative thinking and problem analysis. Big 4 experience in advisory management and services preferred.
