RSPO Harmonisation Session – Indonesia

The revised RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C) and the Independent Smallholder (ISH) Standards were endorsed at the RSPO General Assembly in November 2024. Subsequently, the new RSPO Certification Systems for the RSPO P&C and Independent Smallholder Standards were endorsed at the RSPO General Assembly in November 2025. In addition, the Indonesia National Interpretation of the ISH Standard 2024 was endorsed on 14 November 2025, followed by the endorsement of the Indonesia National Interpretation of the P&C 2024 on 17 March 2026.

However, Resolution GA22-2d, adopted on 5 November 2025, calls for an extension of the mandatory effective date of the RSPO P&C 2024 Standard by six months, until 31 May 2026. A progress review is scheduled for the fifth month, with the possibility of a further six-month extension should significant delays persist.

To address this resolution, the RSPO Secretariat has scheduled a series of events across multiple countries to update RSPO Members and stakeholders on the revised Standards, the new Certification Systems, and the updated National Interpretations.

The Harmonisation Sessions (April–May 2026) aim to:

• Improve RSPO Members’ and stakeholders’ knowledge, understanding, and readiness to implement and comply with the revised Standards.
• Highlight key changes and new requirements under the 2025 Certification Systems that directly impact certification processes, audit delivery, and oversight.
• Provide an interactive platform for discussion on standard-related expectations.

The RSPO Secretariat invites grower members, ISH members, social and environmental NGOs, accreditation bodies (AB), certification bodies (CB), endorsed training providers (ETP), and industry associations in Indonesia to participate in the Harmonisation Session as detailed below.

The RSPO Secretariat will cover the venue costs. Participants are kindly requested to make their own logistical arrangements for attendance.

Sesi Harmonisasi RSPO – Indonesia

Prinsip dan Kriteria (P&C) RSPO yang telah direvisi dan  Standar Pekebun Swadaya (ISH) disahkan pada Sidang Umum RSPO (RSPO General Assembly) pada November 2024. Selanjutnya, Sistem Sertifikasi RSPO yang baru untuk P&C RSPO dan Pekebun Swadaya telah pula disahkan pada Sidang Umum RSPO pada November 2025.

Selain itu, Interpretasi Nasional Indonesia untuk Standar Pekebun Swadaya 2024 disahkan pada 14 November 2025, yang kemudian diikuti oleh pengesahan Interpretasi Nasional Indonesia untuk P&C 2024 pada 17 Maret 2026.

Namun, Resolusi GA22-2d yang diadopsi pada 5 November 2025 menyerukan perpanjangan tanggal efektif wajib penerapan Standar RSPO P&C 2024 selama enam bulan, hingga 31 Mei 2026. Peninjauan kemajuan dijadwalkan pada bulan kelima, dengan kemungkinan perpanjangan tambahan selama enam bulan apabila keterlambatan yang signifikan masih berlanjut.

Untuk menindaklanjuti resolusi tersebut, Sekretariat RSPO telah menjadwalkan berbagai kegiatan di beberapa negara untuk memberikan pembaruan kepada Anggota RSPO dan para pemangku kepentingan terkait  Standar yang direvisi, Sistem Sertifikasi yang baru, serta Interpretasi Nasional yang telah diperbarui. Tujuan pelaksanaan Sesi Harmonisasi (April–Mei 2026) adalah  untuk:

• Meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan kesiapan Anggota RSPO serta pemangku kepentingan dalam mengimplementasikan dan mematuhi Standar yang telah direvisi.
• Menyoroti perubahan utama dan persyaratan baru dari Sistem Sertifikasi 2025 yang berdampak langsung pada proses sertifikasi, pelaksanaan audit, dan pengawasan.
• Menyediakan platform interaktif untuk diskusi terkait ekspektasi yang berhubungan dengan standar.

Sekretariat RSPO mengundang  anggota Perusahaan Perkebunan (Grower), Pekebun Swadaya, NGO Sosial dan NGO Lingkungan,  badan akreditasi (AB), lembaga sertifikasi (CB), penyedia pelatihan yang disahkan (ETP), serta asosiasi industri di Indonesia untuk mengikuti Sesi Harmonisasi sebagaimana dirinci di bawah ini.

Sekretariat RSPO akan menanggung biaya tempat pertemuan. Namun, peserta yang mendaftar diminta untuk mengatur kebutuhan logistik mereka sendiri untuk berpartisipasi.

Karena kapasitas tempat terbatas, pendaftaran akan mengikuti prinsip first come, first served.
