The New Planting Procedure (NPP) has been revised in consultation with the Assurance Standing Committee (ASC). This revision incorporates:
- Updates from the 2024 RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C) and the 2024 RSPO Independent Smallholder (ISH) Standard
- Updates and alignment between supporting documents related to the 2024 P&C and ISH Standard
- Registration of the NPP by the Certification Body prior to NPP submission
- An FAQ section on land clearing in actively managed areas
- Clarification of NPP requirements and processes
The RSPO is pleased to invite the public to review and comment on the revised NPP draft through a global online commenting platform. The platform also provides details on the main changes between the NPP 2021 document and the revised NPP document, as well as guidance on how to submit comments.
The revised drafts are available in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, French, Spanish, and Thai. Click below to access the commenting platform.
The public consultation period will last for 30 days, from 1 June to 30 June 2026.
