RSPO Impact Areas

Sustainable palm oil is defined not by a single measure, but by the collective progress we make across the issues that matter most.

RSPO tracks and reports our progress across six interconnected Impact Areas, each anchored in our Theory of Change (ToC) and its long-term vision for the palm oil sector. Our ToC sets out the path from RSPO Standards, certification and uptake to real outcomes for people, planet and prosperity. Our Impact Areas are where that path becomes measurable, transparent, and accountable.

From protecting forests and biodiversity to upholding human rights and supporting smallholders, these areas capture the full scope of what it means to produce palm oil responsibly.

Explore each Impact Area to see where we are, how far we have come, and what we are still working towards.
