Tong Seng Produce (TSP) is an importer for rice, sugar, flour and cooking oil. We import our own brands of products to market and distribute to different market segments in Singapore. We have a very wide market distribution from supermarkets or any other retailers to restaurants, hotels and even food centres and hawker stalls.

Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
Tong Seng Produce will educate what RSPO stands for and the purpose of it internally to all staff, especially the sales team.
Our sales team will then educate and promote it to our customers who are in the retail sector and food & beverage sector why choosing RSPO is important and how it will improve our environment by switching their current usage of palm oil to RSPO.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
Sales team will need to know and understand company's ground and actively promote RSPO to all our customers.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
Tong Seng Produce will need to ensure RSPO imported are traceable from supplier's source and ensure quality of the palm oil is not compromise by visiting suppliers' factory to ensure what we are importing from them is RSPO certified.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
We hope that there will be more oil exporters joining RSPO and price of RSPO can be as competitive as standard refined palm olein pricing so to remain competitive in the market.
