This company began operating in March 2003, with only one production line, starting with devote to manufacturing low grammage of soap for the hotel industry and in order to meet the needs of the French group Groupe GM and its network of agents. In 2008, the company started making soap for retail brands, diversifying this way the target markets. The certifications ISO 9001, 14001 and 22716 reinforces the concern with maintaining and improving the quality, environmental and GMP issues.
In January 2017 the company changes its name, considering a group strategy and the name become Groupe GM Cosmética Portugal SA.
