PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV, is a state-owned enterprise in agribusiness, conductingÂ plantation and processing of oil palm. Total land bank area is about 175.000 Ha, palm oil plantation is about 145.000 Ha, consisting of 37 unit estates, 15 unit palm oil mills and 1 unit palm kernel processing factory. Additionally, there are also Machinery plant workshop, EFB composting fabric, Biodiesel Plant, Power plant by EFB and shell, and Hydraulic power plant. Several business development initiatives are conducted to expand plantation area in other regions with the concept of own/nucleus - smallholder palm oil plantations and build downstream industry based on CPO processing.
PTPN IV's business area covers several regencies which different parties of stakeholders, local government, investor, consumer, buyer, supplier and surrounding community. The balance of such interest to all parties need to be well-preserved in long-term basis, held by the Code of Corporate Governance, which shall be restructured periodically in accordance with the company development. Good agricultural and best practices on field, mills and supporting units were written on standard operational procedure and updated whenever there are new methods, technologies or innovations.
