Organisation's Commitments Toward Sustainability

  • How will your organisation promote the RSPO internally and to other stakeholders?
Via internal and external communication: Internally this will happen primarily via our corporate education programme; Oriflame Academy and Internal Conferences. Externally it will be via the Sustainability Report, the CSR section of our Annual Report and on our Corporate Website http://www.oriflame.com as well as via stakeholder dialogue.
  • Where relevant, what processes is the organisation establishing to engage with interested parties, for example to resolve conflict or to use sustainably produced palm oil?
We are participating in the RSPO certification scheme. We are buying Mass Balance certified palm oil and we purchase RSPO Credits to cover the remaining balance, ensuring 100% coverage. We have been doing this since 2010.
  • Where relevant, how will your organisation work towards implementing the RSPO Principles and Criteria or assessing supplier performance against these criteria?
As a first step via the purchase of RSPO Credits for all of our palm oil. As a second step by reviewing direct sourcing of physically segregated RSPO certified material, with an intention to source 100% certified sustainable palm oil by physical supply chain by 2020. physically segregated oil palm products by 2020.
  • Any other information that would support the application such as what your organisation hopes to gain from joining RSPO and how it would support RSPO?
We hope to contribute to sustainable palm oil production and to building awareness among our consumers about the importance of raw material sourcing in general and the sourcing of palm oil in particular.
