Ghana National Interpretation Public Consultation: 21 August 2026 – 20 October 2026
The RSPO National Interpretation (NI) draft of the 2024 RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C) and 2024 RSPO Independent Smallholder (ISH) Standard for Ghana has been developed through a participatory, multi-stakeholder process, involving representatives from relevant RSPO membership sectors and consultations with other related stakeholders in Ghana. The formation of the National Interpretation Task Force (NITF) for Ghana ensures that all required procedures, communications and actions have been properly documented and recorded. This process aims to ensure that the NI accurately reflects the nature of the oil palm industry in Ghana, particularly national legislation and local customs, while maintaining and strengthening the integrity of RSPO Certification requirements.
We are now calling for comments on the Ghana NI 2026 draft through a public consultation period of 60 days, from 21 August 2026 to 20 October 2026. The draft is available in English and can be downloaded below.
