The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a global, non-profit organisation with voluntary members working to transform the palm oil industry to make it sustainable. The Executive, Procurement will support the Head, Procurement and be responsible to effectively assist the overall coordination and evaluation of procurements for RSPO. He/she will be responsible to perform important administrative tasks and provide critical support to the Procurement Unit ensuring the cost-effective and timely management of all the organisation’s procurements.
The location of this role is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but will not be limited to the following:
- Assist in the execution of the organisation’s procurement and to ensure compliance with procurement processes and controls adhered to.
- Assist in providing guidance and training on procurement policies and procedures to internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational and divisional budgets.
- Assist in vendor management and maintaining a comprehensive record of performances and rates/pricing references of goods and services.
- Support in the monitoring of ongoing procurements and liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate records of procurements and relevant data, and to assist in producing periodic reports for management review.
- Apart from the duties stated above, to perform any duty or duties reasonably assigned.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Education
- A Degree in Business Administration or related fields
Experience
- A least three (3) years working experience in procurement or related process-oriented field.
- Relevant experience in using ERP, procurement/purchasing system, budgeting, cost/price analysis.
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience in dealing with international stakeholders and/or working in non-profit organisations.
Technical and Professional Knowledge
- Good proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite), and Office 365 including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Adobe pdf.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in other languages is desirable.
- Experience in SalesForce is an advantage.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to implement objectives and strategies as defined by management.
- Proven ability to compare information and arrive at a logical conclusion (e.g. reviewing and recommending like-for-like vendors’ quotations).
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written communication.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact with different stakeholders in a matrix reporting environment.
- Ability in establishing cooperation and rapport with internal and external parties of different backgrounds and nationalities.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, detail-oriented and good organisation skills.
- Ability to identify issues and verbalise problems to a non-english speaker.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player.
