The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a not-for-profit, international membership organisation that is working to transform markets to make sustainable palm oil the norm. To do this, we have united stakeholders from all sectors of the palm oil supply chain and civil society to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil production and procurement.

The Assistant Manager, HR Operations & Rewards position will focus on managing the payroll operations across multiple geographies, operationalizing our HR processes and finding innovative ways to improve efficiency of HR operations. This role will also act as rewards specialist.

The location of this role is Malaysia.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible to carry out the following major duties:

  • Handling timely and accurate payroll, compensation and reward processes across multiple geographies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate salary payment across the region by working closely with the in-country payroll vendors.
  • Comply with internal policies and procedures and support audit requirements.
  • Payroll vendor management and managing payroll systems for the assigned geographies.
  • Improve best practices within all salary and payroll matters.
  • Drive the compensation and reward processes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparing compensation proposals for new hires and promotion candidates in accordance with internal and external benchmarks.
  • Involve in the preparation of annual increment and ex-gratia computation.
  • Ensure compliance by the respective line managers and verifying claims submitted for processing.
  • Assist with processing employee movements and update in employee master database / HRMS / personal files.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the HR team on new projects.

Apart from the duties stated above, to perform any duty or duties reasonably assigned.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Education

  • Minimum Bachelors’ degree in business, human resources or equivalent.

Work Experience

  • At least 4-6 years’ experience in the related field

Technical and Professional Knowledge

  • Payroll and benefits administration
  • HRIS
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace

  • Detail-oriented with a flair for numbers
  • Have a structured and data-driven approach
  • Good report writing and presentation skills
  • Have strong communication skills and feel confident in sharing opinion and knowledge
  • Respect confidential information
