The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a not-for-profit, international membership organisation that is working to transform markets to make sustainable palm oil the norm. To do this, we have united stakeholders from all sectors of the palm oil supply chain and civil society to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil production and procurement.

Since its inception in 2004, RSPO has enjoyed rapid growth and today has close to 5,000 members from 99 countries, including oil palm producers, processors, traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks, and non-governmental organisations. Thanks to the commitments and actions of these members, nearly 20% of the global supply of palm oil has already been certified as sustainable.

The Executive, Finance (Accounts Receivable) will be assisting and supporting the Senior Executive, Finance (AR) and Assistant Manager – Finance in handling all matters relating to Accounts Receivables (AR) for RSPO and its related offices.

The location of this role is Malaysia. 

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but will not be limited to the following:
● To record all AR related financial transactions timely and accurately according to the accounting processes and procedures
● To reconcile all receipts with respective debtors’ accounts and to follow up with debtors on any discrepancies or any unidentified receipts
● To issue official receipts upon request after receiving the full membership payment
● To respond to members' and internal colleagues’ email queries on a timely and effective manner
● To deal with debtor for AR collection to ensure payments are on time and to manage overdue payments
● To escalate to AR Senior Finance Executive on any long overdue invoice problems
● Assist AR Senior Finance Executive in resolving/follow up on any disputes and escalation.

Apart from the duties stated above, to perform any duty or duties reasonably assigned.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Education
▪ A Degree in Accounting and Finance

Work Experience
▪ A least three (3) years working experience in accounting and finance functions.
▪ Relevant experience in using Financial Force accounting software.
▪ Preference will be given to candidates with experience in dealing with international
stakeholder and/or working in non-profit organisations.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
▪ Is familiar with F&A functional processes and activities particularly AR
▪ Good technical accounting skills;
▪ Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication;
▪ Fluency in English and proficiency in additional Asian language(s) is an advantage;
▪ Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite), and Office 365 including Word, Excel and
PowerPoint;
▪ Ability to prioritise tasks, detail oriented and good organisation skills;
