The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a not-for-profit, international membership organisation that unites stakeholders from the 7 key sectors of the palm oil industry: oil palm producers, processors or traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks/investors, and environmental and social non-governmental organisations (NGOs), to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil.
The RSPO has developed a set of environmental and social criteria that companies must comply with in order to produce Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO) – The 2018 RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C) and the 2019 RSPO Independent Smallholder (ISH) Standard.
In line with the International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labelling (ISEAL) Alliance best practices, ensuring the standards remain relevant and reflect stakeholder understanding of good sustainability practices, the RSPO is initiating its 5 year cycle of the review process of the 2018 P&C and the 2019 ISH Standard.
The review process is targeted to start in late April 2022, with targeted completion by November 2023, where it will be submitted for adoption at the RSPO General Assembly.
RSPO is calling for expressions of interest to provide facilitation services to various meetings and consultative events throughout the RSPO review process. Details of the work are outlined in the Terms of Reference (ToR) below.
Interested consultants are invited to submit their tender with a proposal containing, at least:
- Background of the company or individual
- Description of relevant experience and expertise
- CVs of the proposed team of facilitators
- Financial proposal, distinguishing fees and expected costs.
Please submit your proposal to [email protected] by 6.00pm GMT+8 on 31 March 2022.
Only shortlisted consultants will be contacted.
