The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a not-for-profit, international membership organisation that is working to transform markets to make sustainable palm oil the norm. To do this, we have united stakeholders from all sectors of the palm oil supply chain and civil society to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil production and procurement.

Since its inception in 2004, RSPO has enjoyed rapid growth and today has close to 5,000 members from 100 countries, including oil palm producers, processors, traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks, and non-governmental organisations. Thanks to the commitments and actions of these members, nearly 20% of the global supply of palm oil has already been certified as sustainable.

Assists in the implementation and administration of the RSPO certification scheme mainly focusing on P&C certification standard, supporting development of certification standards and systems, maintain and manage certification records, provide on-going support to the Certification (P&C) Manager, Head of Certification, Deputy Director Compliance, Assurance Director, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer, RSPO Standing Committees (e.g. ASC, SSC, SHSC) on Assurance, Standard, Smallholders and/or other relevant working groups and task forces established to make decisions and provide guidance on matters related to RSPO P&C certification.

The preferred location of this role is Malaysia.


Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

  1. Provide support to the Certification (P&C) Manager, Head of Certification, Deputy Director Compliance, and Assurance Director in regards to the administration and implementation of related programmes and meet objectives set in the RSPO Roadmap and other management plans and decisions.
  2. Support, update, maintain and keep track of technical data related to the RSPO P&C certification including the development, fine-tuning and maintenance of the RSPO certification system and standard documents.
  3. Liaise and advise all RSPO members, and other Divisions within the RSPO Secretariat on the understanding and/or guidance related to the RSPO P&C certification.
  4. Assist in monitoring activities and maintaining communication with all accredited Certification Bodies for P&C as well as those seeking accreditation.
  5. Review and upload notifications, reports and other documents from/for Certification Bodies following the necessary of P&C certification processes. Also assist to monitor CB’s performance in terms of compliance to RSPO P&C certification system and standard requirements.
  6. Develop, fine tune and maintain the Database related to P&C certification activities in all applicable IT platforms e.g., Salesforce, Palmtrace, RIF, and RSPO website. This includes compilation and maintenance of relevant records and data making it available for internal and external communications.
  7. Assists in organising training/workshop/forum programmes (including communication and all related arrangement) for the accredited Certification
    Bodies and auditors operating under RSPO P&C certification scheme.

Apart from the duties stated above, the role is required to perform any duty or duties reasonably assigned by the Certification (P&C) Manager, Head of Certification, Deputy Director Compliance, or Assurance Director.


  • Preferable Bachelor Degree in Science, Forestry, Agriculture, Environment, Social or relevant educational sciences related to oil palm sector.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in any fields.
  • Preferably with experience with oil palm plantation or related industries.


  • Having knowledge and understanding of oil palm plantation operation activities.
  • Familiar with one or more related sustainability and certification schemes in oil palm sectors such as RSPO, MSPO, ISPO, ISCC, etc.
  • Able to operate computerized software or other related application (e.g., G-suites, Microsoft offices, Salesforce, etc).
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa with good communication skill to develop and establish cooperation and rapport with respective users and teams at working levels and of different nationalities.
