MANAGER, BUSINESS SOLUTIONS

The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a not-for-profit, international membership organisation that is working to transform markets to make sustainable palm oil the norm. To do this, we have united stakeholders from all sectors of the palm oil supply chain and civil society to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil production and procurement.

Since its inception in 2004, RSPO has enjoyed rapid growth and today has 5,000 members from 101 countries, including oil palm producers, processors, traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks, and non-governmental organisations. Thanks to the commitments and actions of these members, nearly 20% of the global supply of palm oil has already been certified as sustainable.

At RSPO, we believe that a not-for-profit organisation is made successful by the passion, skills, and expertise of its members and staff. They are the ones who drive our organisation to new heights and guide us through the next phase of our development.

This position requires that the person works effectively in a multi-stakeholder environment to understand the current state of RSPO’s business processes, identify issues and risks, and participate in defining the future desired state of RSPO’s business requirements by providing technology driven solutions in its strategies.

The location of this role is Malaysia.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but will not be limited to the following:

  1. Assume lead role in planning, budgeting and coordinating all activities relating to the design, development and deployment of all IT projects.

  2. Identify business process improvements through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to understand existing systems and processes, and document the changes required to meet business requirements and risk mitigation.

  3. Coordinate with users from different internal departments to gather their requirements and issues in order to identify and implement suitable technology and business solutions to address the identified issues.

  4. Work to ensure all project rollouts organisation wide are properly coordinated and managed and have the desired impact.

  5. Oversee the management of IT equipment and infrastructure to ensure that they are properly installed and configured, and that all support, maintenance and upgrading activities are properly recorded.

  6. Responsible to ensure that existing business systems e.g. Salesforce, are properly maintained, supported and upgraded.

  7. Manage all IT vendors to ensure that proper contracts and pricing are in place and establish effective partnerships to obtain the optimal service levels from the vendors to meet our business needs.

  8. Manage all processes relating to Salesforce and ensuring the following:

  • Perform administrator functions such as managing users, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, and queues. 
  • Customise and manage dashboards, reports, templates, page layouts workflows, create and maintain custom object relationships, formulas, standard and custom fields.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of Salesforce.com data structures and understand how to meet complex process and reporting requirements. 
  • Manage and resolve support requests related to Salesforce.com to provide best solutions and practises on Salesforce usage including training and documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate projects related to Salesforce.com and be responsible for delivering and deploying completed work, and ensuring proper documentation related to configuration and deployment of applications.
  • Take initiative to understand the business processes of RSPO and recommend process improvements by translating the business requirements into solutions in Salesforce, including integration with FinancialForce and RSPO web applications.
  • Stay current on new releases and updates to Salesforce.com and other latest industry trends and changing technologies.
  • Have a good understanding of the Communities Cloud to manage the implementation of best practises and leverage the platform for collaboration with external users e.g. RSPO members and employees.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of Business Solutions.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or other relevant degree or qualification.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in large scale project management in deploying organisation wide system implementations.

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Salesforce system administration and development.

  • Relevant experience in designing, developing, customising and updating Salesforce objects and configuration.

TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Ability to understand current business processes, identify issues and develop strategies for system implementation and risk mitigation.

  • Exceptional communication, problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional collaborations and deal with ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to distil complex IT projects and systems.

  • Sound understanding of technology concepts and linking to latest technology.

  • In-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC and have successfully expanded on those capabilities and integration with external systems.

  • Have a good understanding of the Communities Cloud to manage the platform for collaboration.

  • Ability to work independently and detail oriented.
